Notifications.

Get told about hand-overs and replies by email and by browser notifications on your computer or phone, and who is told about what.

Hand-overs only work if someone notices them. Askbridge tells your team in the dashboard (the bell), by email and by browser notifications. Each person sets their own notifications for each workspace.

Where to change your notification settings

Open Settings, Notifications, or choose Notification preferences in the account menu under your picture. Everyone changes their own notification settings there: email, browser notifications and availability.

Turn on notifications on your phone or computer

  1. On the phone or computer you want notifications on, sign in to Askbridge in the browser.
  2. Open Settings, Notifications (or choose Notification preferences in the account menu under your picture).
  3. Make sure Browser notifications is switched on.
  4. Under This device, choose Enable browser notifications, then allow notifications when the browser asks.
  5. The device shows Notifications on. Repeat on each device you use.

Askbridge never asks your browser for permission unless you press that button. To stop them on one device, choose Turn off notifications on this device.

  • Android: Chrome shows notifications even when the dashboard is not open. If they do not appear, check that notifications are allowed for the browser in Android settings, and that battery saving is not blocking them.
  • iPhone and iPad: browser notifications are not supported for the Askbridge dashboard yet. Use email notifications there.
  • If This device says Blocked by the browser, allow notifications for Askbridge in the browser's site settings. If it says notifications are not set up on this server, they are not available yet.

Email notifications

Switch Email me on or off on the same page. You get at most one email per conversation every 10 minutes.

Being available

I am available to take conversations (also at the bottom of the menu) decides who hears about hand-overs first. Mark yourself away when you are not working.

There are no quiet hours for notifications. Outside your opening hours (set on the widget's Availability tab), visitors are offered the message form rather than a live hand-over.

Still stuck? Email support@vitalos.co.uk and tell us your workspace name.
